A Man's Guide to Living with Prostate Cancer

Men diagnosed with early prostate cancer have many therapeutic options, many choices. They need extensive counseling. The Choices program is designed to help with that chore, and is, therefore, a value-added service. Choices is a kit: a box containing two slipcovered VHS tapes and a booklet. The booklet gives information about resources, organizations, books and websites, and a glossary of the medical terms that men who have prostate cancer will encounter.

Choices We've Made shares the experiences of four men, each of whom has chosen a different method of treatment for his prostate cancer.

In Understanding Your Choice, four leading prostate cancer specialists explain what prostate cancer is, how it is diagnosed, how it progresses, and what the best treatment alternatives are for each stage of the disease.

Both programs are prominently featured on the website for Phoenix 5, a non-profit, independent network for prostate cancer survivors and their companions. Understanding Your Choice and Choices We've Made can be downloaded and viewed from their site.
